Hawks Bay
Musharraf’s efforts of changing Pakistan’s image seem to be working. Reason being, I went to Hawks Bay last weekend and saw not one or two, but three white couples dressing in trunks and bikinis strolling around all day there. Wait wait, that’s not the surprising part, the surprising part was the indifference of the locals who were there. Everyone was busy having fun, which was actually nice.
Maybe these couples can go back and spread through word of mouth that Karachi is not as dangerous a city as has been portrayed by the media.

One thing I noticed when I was in Karachi was that the people are really open minded and their eyes don’t become “EYES WIDE OPEN” upon looking at girls pass by!
this i gotta see! no – not the swimsuit clad goras – but the ppl ignoring them! and now with this post, am sure everyone who comes across it wud be having their own ’spread thru word of mouth’ and everyone wud be making a bee line to Hawks bay! and i will be armed with my cam to catch some action

although i think the goras knew that majority of karachi ppl don’t like going to the beach in dec and jan, that’s why they were there…
Karachi is portrayed as the dangerous city? No, actually Pakistan is portrayed as the dangerous country in US media (which rest of the world so eagerly follows). Knowing a little bit US media, they usually don’t work hard for their stories about foriegn affairs, if they are reporting about Taleban in Karzai’s era they would report it from Kabul not from the mountains. So when they are reporting the dangerous country their ultimate target is the most lively place in the country not the real fanatic zones of Pakistan. Why? Becuase we have decent hotels where these lazy journalists can stay, english speaking community and a sunny weather through out the year.
yeah zag..I was only joking I wanted to take revenge over how you made fun of me over the asses thing.
I stayed there for almost two weeks but I lived in zamzama.

i see karachi beaches are turning into what the wonderful dubai beaches are now. bus lots of nungay people.
and we’re too excited about the PROGRESS we’ve made of people not staring? i grew up right next to the beach… ive spent my entire friggin childhood playing at the beach… there were families there… having fun… there were no nekkid people strolling around.
i think the goras need to respect our culture a bit too? do whatever u want on ur countries beaches, thats ur culture. when u come to ur country show some respect? khair, when our wahabis coudlnt be bothered… pakistanis are a far cry.

hell with the gawking, im surprised no one has an issue with it otherwise. then again, i shoudlnt be. pakistan is just a piece of land liek all others.. pakistanis ar ejust… homo sapiens liek all others… and every culture declines…. as is its natural life cycle.

btw, the promotions demotions are for myself only….. i just keep the blogrolls so that i don’t have to bookmark it in each and every pc i use….. all i do is come to my blog and then click on my blog rolls…. if i don’t have much time, i just go thru the fav ones, if i have time, i go thru all of em….
