One Up
After a disastrous start, Pakis went on and routed the Kiwis in the opener. If only, this was the semi final of the Champions Trophy these two teams played a month ago.
I wonder what’s going on in Younis Khan’s head right now. After dropping that dolly in the semi final that cost us the match, he got out for naught while his deputy/rival went on to win the player of the match. Now he has only two matches to perform, since he is “retired†from T20 that are to follow. Talk about putting yourself under pressure.
Our junior Butt sahib opened and failed again. I think it’s pathetic that out of 22 teams (44 opening batsmen) that are playing in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy tournament in Pakistan, we cannot find a single opener for our national team and keep going to the rejects again and again. It’s been over six years since Saeed Anwar retired, it’s about time we find a replacement.

i am confident that the selection board will get a good replacement for saeed anwar the moment they get their head out of their ass. i mean recalling salman butt & imran farhat at the expense of young talent? just goes to show where there head has been all this while. secondly i am sure you have read “open letter to imran farhat” on dawn blog. makes perfect sense. It is not important as to what younus khan is thinking; what is though is what he is doing and that is getting all the pent up frustration out and enjoy it while he does it a’la gary kirsten happiness 101
